COURSE DESCRIPTION
This live interactive Zoom continuing education course explores burnout, compassion fatigue, secondary traumatic stress, and moral distress affecting social workers. Participants will examine current evidence-informed research and apply practical strategies to strengthen resilience, establish healthy professional boundaries, and develop an individualized sustainability plan that supports ethical practice, career longevity, and high-quality client care.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES — USE VERBATIM
- Identify the signs, symptoms, and contributing factors associated with burnout, compassion fatigue, secondary traumatic stress, and moral distress in social work practice.
- Differentiate burnout from other occupational stress responses and evaluate the influence of workplace culture, organizational systems, and professional boundaries on professional well-being.
- Apply evidence-informed strategies to strengthen resilience, establish healthy professional boundaries, and promote professional sustainability.
- Develop an individualized professional sustainability plan that supports ethical practice, career longevity, and high-quality client care.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Primary Audience: Licensed Social Workers.
Other behavioral health professionals may attend where permitted by their licensing board. Participants outside of social work are responsible for confirming continuing education acceptance with their applicable licensing board.
COURSE DELIVERY & INTERACTIVITY
This course is delivered as a Live Interactive Zoom (Synchronous Distance Learning) course featuring live instruction, polls, chat discussions, breakout rooms, case studies, workbook exercises, guided reflection, and question-and-answer sessions.
Participants are expected to attend and engage in real time. Full attendance and participation in required interactive activities are part of the course-completion requirements.

ACE compliance note: Instructional time totals exactly 3.0 CE hours. The morning break is excluded from CE instructional time. The course evaluation occurs after the instructional portion has concluded and is not counted toward CE credit. 3.0 CE credits are included in the registration fee.
Registration is subject to course capacity and any final registration cutoff established by Never Journey Alone, LLC.
COURSE COMPLETION & ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Participants must attend the full instructional program, participate in required interactive activities, complete the required course evaluation, and satisfy attendance verification requirements to receive continuing education credit. Full attendance is required. No partial credit will be awarded.
Attendance and participation may be verified through Zoom attendance records, participation in required interactive activities, attendance checks, and other verification procedures communicated to participants.

There are no pre-course assignments.
Participants will receive an electronic workbook and any course preparation or access instructions through the registration/confirmation process.
CERTIFICATE OF CREDIT
CE certificates are issued only after Never Journey Alone Continuing Education verifies full attendance, required participation, attendance verification, and completion of the required course evaluation. Certificates will be issued electronically in accordance with the timeframe communicated in the registration and participant materials.
